Course overview
The
VTCT Skills Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate is for people who want to
work in adult social care including those already working in the sector who
want to formally evidence their competence and build toward a future management
role. The course develops the knowledge, skills and workplace practice needed
to provide safe, person-centred, values-driven care and support.
Learners
build understanding of their own role, duty of care, communication,
safeguarding, equality and diversity, privacy, dignity, health and safety,
infection prevention, mental health, dementia, and learning disability and
autism awareness all mapped directly to real practice in the learner’s own
workplace.
This qualification is suitable for learners of all ages starting or developing a career in adult social care and supports the ongoing learning and practice-improvement expected of every care worker
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS •
Learners
must be 16 years or older •
Learners
must be working in, or about to start, an adult social care role •
Steady
access to real workplace evidence is required, with employer support confirmed
before the course starts •
No formal
prior qualification is required SK2C1 is an entry-level Level 2 qualification
